Gladwin Park Detroit Repro Vintage 1912 Mug

The classic white mug is perfect for any photos or designs. A blank canvas for your creativity. A large handle makes it easy to hold. 11 oz. or 15 oz. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Imported.

A reproduction of a vintage postcard shows the lake at Gladwin Park, also known as Water Works Park. In 1910, the city's Common Council decided that Waterworks Park was too ordinary a name and, "for reasons known only to them" changed the name to Gladwin Park to honor Maj. Henry Gladwin, the British commander of Fort Detroit during the 1763 siege of Detroit by Chief Pontiac and his Ottawa warriors. This Victorian style architecture, built in 1873, was demolished in 1962. This item is of archival quality, high resolution of 600 ppi, it has been retouched, recolored in areas, cropped and enhanced. This assures that your item will print with the highest quality possible.
